What kind of proposals can I prepare and submit in OmaStadi?
OmaStadi proposals can be related to anything the city does. The money can be used for the city’s services, purchases and investments. You can propose for an improvement to an existing place or service, or you can propose to something completely new.
Before submitting a proposal, we encourage you to read the Information about areas pages. The site has statistical information about residents and services in the area. The site also contains the city's regional plans. When you familiarize yourself with information about your neighborhood, you can make a proposal that will benefit residents broadly and is locally needed.
Also, check out the proposals submitted by others to avoid duplicate proposals.
There will be many event and activities organized where you can brainstorm proposals together with other city residents. You can also submit your proposal individually.
You can submit your proposal electronically on the OmaStadi website. If you need help submitting your proposal, please see the Illustrated instructions page. From the Events page you will find events and service points where help to submit your proposal will be offered.
The city will assess all proposals and will check that the proposals comply with the evaluation criteria of OmaStadi. You can submit a proposals even if you do not know whether it meets the assessment criteria.
If the proposal cannot be implemented through OmaStadi, it will not advance to the vote. All rejected proposals will be published on the OmaStadi website with grounds for their rejection. There are also other ways you can influence the city-related matters that are important to you. Participate in and influence the decision-making of the City of Helsinki.
