OmaStadi in a nutshell

OmaStadi is Helsinki's participatory budgeting process. This means Helsinki residents can propose and vote on improvements for their neighborhoods. The city has increased the budget to €10 million for resident-led projects.

You can submit proposals by logging into the OmaStadi website from September 22nd to October 5th, 2025. We encourage collaborative proposal development; discuss with your neighbors what improvements would make Helsinki better for everyone.

You can vote on the submitted proposals 11.3.-29.3.2026.

Implementation of the winning proposals will be planned with residents in early summer 2026, with project implementation starting in autumn 2026.
