Voting in OmaStadi

In OmaStadi the next time voting will take place from 11 until 29 March 2026.

All residents of Helsinki aged 13 and over are eligible to vote.

The voter can vote for five proposals, in a Helsinki major distritct of their own choosing.

Voting takes place at omastadi.hel.fi webpage.

The voter logs in to the site using strong authentication, such as online banking credentials or a mobile certificate. School pupils can log in with the edu.hel.fi credentials in city-run schools or Wilma credentials in private or state-run schools. Strong authentication will ensure that only those entitled to vote can vote.

Short voting instructions

1. Check out the proposals.
2. Log in with your online banking credentials.
3. Select an area in Helsinki, i.e. the major district where you want to vote.
4. Vote for five proposals.
5. Check your choice and confirm your vote. After that, you can no longer change your voting choices.
