This is a preliminary plan of the City of Helsinki
The page presents a compilation of plans that fit the district's OmaStadi budget. They do not yet have funding from the city budget. You can speed up the implementation of a particular plan and suggest it as it is or take ideas from it and use them as a basis for your proposal. You can submit the OmaStadi proposal in the "Submit a proposal" section.
The city prepares plans to ensure that the city's services are implemented equally in different parts of the city in the future. In this way, the city responds to the changing needs of its residents.
The city will implement this plan in the coming years if the City Council decides to fund it in the city budget.
Plan
Making the current walkway smoother and safer to improve the accessibility of pedestrian and bicycle traffic from Roihuvuori to the nearest metro station
Action he walkway’s surface structure and drainage are in need of an overhaul. Tree roots damaging the walkway structures will be removed, possibly deep down n the goal maps, the connection is marked as a route with basic level of accessibility, and it is maintained as a B-class park path in winter. The first part of the walkway is steep, but the surface is mainly in good condition. Depressions, surface sections with root damage and drainage problems are concentrated on the Vuorenpeikontie side section. The amenities are renewed by adding benches and rubbish bins.
